Akira Ransomware Attack

The South African Development Bank announced on Monday that last month, servers encrypted by the Akira gang were hacked with log files and documents.

The state bank said in a statement; He said the attack began around May 21 and the gang threatened to reveal the stolen information if the ransom was not paid. An investigation was launched immediately after learning of the incident, and it was stated that "personal information such as job titles, names and addresses of directors and shareholders, identity documents, phone numbers and email addresses may have been unlawfully obtained or seized by the hackers."
