Big Data Breach by Levi Strauss & Co.

Levi Strauss & Co., the famous American clothing brand, has announced a serious data breach affecting more than 73,000 customers. The breach occurred on June 13, 2024 and was detected and reported the same day.

The breach occurred due to a vulnerability exploited by cyber attackers, exposing personally identifiable information, such as customer names.

According to reports from the Maine Attorney General's Office, the data breach affected a total of 73,231 people, including 85 people living in the state of Maine. Levi Strauss & Co. immediately notified affected customers electronically on June 21, 2024, and announced that appropriate action would be taken.

Here are some of the measures we should take to protect ourselves from such attacks;

• Emails whose source is not reliable should not be opened,

• Use a multi-factor authenticator,

• Your system should always be updated with the latest version,

• Login logs should be monitored.
