New Favorite of Cyber Attackers “ HotRat ”

A new type of AsyncRAT malware named HotRat has been discovered. This software can spread through any cracked software, especially popular software such as cracked video games, cracked video and audio editing applications, and cracked Microsoft Office applications.

As a result of the investigations, thanks to the HotRat malware, the attackers; They have a wide range of capabilities such as login, stealing credentials, cryptocurrency wallets, screen capture, keylogging, installing more malware, and accessing or modifying clipboard data.

The precautions that can be taken against such attacks are as follows:

• Keep the security software you use on your phone and computer up to date.

• Change the passwords you log into your account regularly.

• Do not download anything from unsafe sites.

• Make sure that the security level of the password you use is high.

• Do not open e-mail attachments or links from suspicious or unknown people.
